Paris Streets

Sitting there, alone in a foreign country, far from my job and everyone I know, a feeling came over me. It was like remembering something I’d never known before or had always been waiting for, but I didn’t know what. Maybe it was something I’d forgotten or something I’ve been missing all my life. All I can say is that I felt, at the same time, joy and sadness. But not too much sadness, because I felt alive. Yes, alive. That was the moment I fell in love with Paris. And I felt Paris fall in love with me.    -from in the final vignette of Paris Je T’Aime

On the street where we lived.  Our apartment was on the third floor on this street.

Just around the corner from the apartment.  Cafe Conti was a common stop for us.

Lovely little streets everywhere

Place de Furstenberg

Another view of Place de Furstenberg

And another

I want the apartment at the top

Lou taking a break underneath a statue of Nicolas Poussin, a french Baroque painter from the 1600's.

M. Chat...there is actually a documentary about Monsieur Chat

More winding streets...in the Latin Quarter

Latin Quarter again...a hangout for the students at the Sorbonne.

View out the apartment window

Dome of the Institut de France.  This was just down at the end of our street.
Another pretty street in Saint Germain.  We had lunch at a cafe here.

Just another pretty face in Paris!!
