I have an entire box of bronze pieces parts....and still I make more. As I get into the studio more consistently, the ideas start to flow and I'm a little afraid to stop making pieces parts and start assembly because I will lose the flow.
I think I will split my time...a couple nights a week making parts and a couple nights a week doing assembly. I have some many cool beads I need to start using. I can't just hoard them forever.....or can I?? Well...maybe I can hoard a few.
There is one more piece over on my Facebook page ... Gail Lannum Design

Cleveland Flea...
This weekend we finally got to The Cleveland Flea. They have it once a month from April through October. It's part flea market, part handmade market with lots of food and beer. It's being held at Superior and East 36th street in the Asia Town Neighborhood. It's a fun show in an industrial setting and extremely well attended.
So of
| Fun people. I got some big nails from Black Kitten. I wasn't going to get them then I noticed the heads were numbered. Really cool. I'll post a pic later. |

Stash from Coldwater Creek
When a women's clothing store goes out of business of course there are deals on the clothes but what you don't think of is all the fixtures. They are selling everything...down to the hooks on the walls and the hangers.
So I picked up a few things....
a dress form or in this case a torso...which strangely has abs and nipples...and some risers. I am debating on tea staining the torso and then stenciling on it. I want to make it look old. I am going to paint the risers black and then distress them.

Color....
I used up some clay this weekend that has been sitting around for a while. I've been making sure it was staying hydrated but it was time to PLAY!!
A few pendants, a few discs...and colors. My laundry room carbon just keeps on giving.
I posted my favorite over on my Facebook Design Page. Come and take a look .

Stash...
No Bead and Button show would be complete without the STASH!!! Beads, tools, and what-not that you don't necessarily need but can't resist.
This show is the one time a year Cris and I get to see Abe from Afghan Tribal Arts.
He has some of the most beautiful beads. Lapis, onyx, jasper...the list goes on and on. This year Abe showed Cris and I some of his collection of extremely rare beads. Ones that dated back to Alexander the Great and before. It was a treat. I only wish I had taken a few photos.

The other people we can't wait to see is Ebrima Sillah and Ruth Aschaffenburg from Bead Paradise in Oberlin, Ohio.

Ruth wasnt' there this year.....we REALLY missed you Ruth!! But Cris and I will be coming to visit the store in October!!

| I got this truly amazing strand of Nigerian Amazonite from Ebrima this year. The hard part is deciding if I use them or just hang them in the studio |
A few other bits and pieces to round the shopping. There is so much to see in the vendors you could never see it all. There is always some treasure hiding in the next booth just waiting for you to discover it.
