Texture Sheets

I was going to do some assembly this weekend but with all these texture sheets I can't wait to try them out. I think I over cooked some of them. They have some brown spots. The instructions I have say 265 degrees for 20 minutes. What's everyone else doing?? Well I'm off to play in the clay. Talk to you later.

What are you using to photocopy the patterns? Did you get one of those old Canon copiers that Celie talks about? Or did you use your printer? I'm curious. I want to make texture sheets, too, but was thinking I'd have to buy one of those Canon toner copiers...

Seconds on the question of which printer? I've been stalking printers on e-bay and keep missing out. These textures look gorgeous!

These particular copies I got from a friend. I've had them for a while but never did anything with them. On Monday I went out and got some Sculpey 3 and made the texture sheets. You don't need to buy an "old" copier. There are a slew of Canon copiers that use either the E-20 or E-40 toner cartridge which contains iron oxide. Staples carries the PC170 for $150 or you can find used ones for about half that amount. If you have a laser printer you might be able to find a MICR (magnetic ink characer recognition) toner cartridge for it. This type of toner contains a large quantity of iron oxide. They are used to print checks and are available to the public.
