I use a propane torch and have a bowl of ice water to quench it in. I just go back and forth until I get a color I like.

Hi Lisa...thanks for checking out the blog.Gailhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03851223043790512136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3972296697874007979.post-70014878256384162992009-03-24T20:38:00.000-04:002009-03-24T20:38:00.000-04:00Wow - these are beautiful!Wow - these are beautiful!Lisa Clarkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09480144027967954246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3972296697874007979.post-8826154190708327402009-03-24T19:31:00.000-04:002009-03-24T19:31:00.000-04:00Wow Gail! Is it fired on a kiln shelf, like silver or gold clay, or in activated carbon like Bronzclay? What kind of shrinkage is there? I'm so excited to learn more about it!!! :)Margaret Schindelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18159345369223670796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3972296697874007979.post-90363787235932694762009-02-13T11:46:00.000-05:002009-02-13T11:46:00.000-05:00Nice! Or does it depend on what type of material they are fired in?deletedbloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02138711287592675152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3972296697874007979.post-44167371915099351742009-02-13T09:36:00.000-05:002009-02-13T09:36:00.000-05:00Sounds like really fun stuff!
